Longtime readers of the site may remember that it started as a simple list of 52 projects, beginning, of course, with project 1. And though this is mentioned in the About section of the site, I think it’s time for me to occasionally start mentioning and talking up the 52 Projects book, which will be published this November. This is less than three months away, and the behind the scenes work to get the word out about the book has been moving along with full force. (From the recent Get The Word Out posts, I guess it’s no secret that promotion is on my mind…) Anyway, the book collects the original 52 projects, and also includes new essays and thoughts on project-making. I’m working on putting together a separate site about the book, as well as other book-related projects — of course! A book about projects can only mean more projects. You can see the cover here at Powells or Amazon (and pre-order, if you’d like — I say go for it). As news comes in, reviews or events or book-related projects, I’ll be sure to post them here. And if you’re a book reviewer or journalist or website publisher or bookstore worker/owner or librarian and you’d like some pre-release information about the book, please send me an email — whatsyourproject AT yahoo DOT com.

That’s awesome. Congratulations. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
