Happened to catch Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey over the weekend, a movie I had not seen in years. I remember seeing it for the first time when I was a kid over at a friend’s house — his parent’s were watching it. I had no idea what was going on, but certains scenes stuck with me, and the voice of the computer Hal — I think that gave me nightmares. Anyway, seeing the film again made me want to check out Roger Ebert’s reviews of not only 2001, but 2010 as well. I always love reading what Ebert has to say about the movies, especially the classics.

2001: A Space Odyssey "Great Movie" review.
(The discussion of the score for the film is fascinating, as well as what Rock Hudson had to say about the movie during the premiere — made me laugh out loud).
