Kirsty Hall’s Diary Project

Kirsty Hall is currently involved in a year long mail art project — The Diary Project. She’s drawing on the outside of an envelope, putting something secret inside, and mailing it to herself each day for all of 2007. The envelopes will remain unopened until they can be exhibited as a whole artwork, at which point members of the public will be invited to unseal the envelopes and reveal what is inside of them. Once unsealed, the contents of the envelopes will be posted on the The Diary Project site. Right now at the site you can view the beautiful artwork drawn on the outside of the envelopes. Very cool project! (Which, by the way, I discovered through the What’s Your Project Flickr group — Thanks for posting to the group!)

  1. Hi Jeffrey, thanks for the link, I really appreciate it. I’m glad that you like The Diary Project: it’s a lot of fun to do and I’m finding it very rewarding.
I’ve just written a series of articles on my blog about how artists can use Flickr and I mentioned your site and you blogging me as an example of how Flickr can help with promotion. I hope that was OK.
