Inspired by Bill Keaggy’s National Sandwich Month Project

in Food, Photos, Projects

I stopped by several stores yesterday so that I could come home and make a sandwich, and I was inspired to do this by Bill Keaggy’s National Sandwich Month project. I got fresh bread from a neighborhood bakery, I got smoked turkey from the deli, and then assorted other items from the food store. The sides are some fresh avocado with red onion and tomato, red pepper hummas, pickles I picked up this past weekend at the farmer’s market, and chips (despite recently being forbidden from bringing chips into the house… hey, a sandwich like this has got to have chips on the plate, consequences be damned). I then sat down on the couch, popped open a beer, watched a dvr’d episode of Star Trek – The Next Generation (the one where Riker is accused of making unwanted advances on a married woman and then murdering her husband by blowing up their lab), and ate my sandwich. Heaven. A little slice of heaven.
