A perfect, hearty breakfast on a wintry Sunday morning.

Recipe from my trusty Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book (which I’ve had for about 20 years, I think):
1 cup whole wheat flour (Note: the recipe calls for all-purpose flour, but I switch it out for whole wheat).
1 tablespoon sugar (I switch out for a spoonful of honey).
2 teaspoons baking powder.
1/4 teaspoon salt.
1 beaten egg.
1 cup milk.
2 tablespoons cooking oil (I use olive oil).
And of course, fresh blueberries.

Read about it here, and so now I am on the hunt for Brooklyn Fudge (despite the current effort to keep all food intake low carb).
