This excellent book, truly handbook size, is chock full of fun projects — 250 activities, to be exact — that you can do with, and without (as pointed out right on the cover) with your baby. It’s by Heather Gibbs Flett and Whitney Moss, who run the popular RookieMoms.com website. Both the book and the website are definitely worth checking out.

"I have now spent exactly a year and three months on this film, and at this point, I don’t know yet how it’s going to be received. I think it’s a good film, I think the guys are great in it, and I think the relationships work. It was a hell of a lot of hard work doing it, and actually even more fun, and if audiences don’t dig it, I think I’ll go out of my fucking mind."

A couple months back Etsy had put out a call to Etsy Artists for art to hang on an empty wall at Etsy Labs. Here’s the wall, as of early August. The good news is there is still plenty of wall space, so the Etsy Labs Wall Project is now an ongoing venture. You can continue to send in your work under the original guidelines.

Poppytalk is a fantastic design blog that features all manner of excellent creations, from handcraft to photography, letterpress to interior design. Also presented are cool features like the “Etsy Pick of the Day” and the “Affordable Art Guide.” The overall goal Poppytalk is to inspire and to promote the work of emerging design talent. Worth checking out regularly, for exacly that, to get some inspiration and to discover the work of new talent.

With doc.u.menting, Mae Jane is documenting the exploration of her quarter-life crisis, and it is a very cool digital creative project indeed. You can read more about the project here and here, and be sure to also check out her other site The Little Fawn.
