Star Trek The Next Generation pinball, or, the best pinball machine ever.

Great round-up at io9.com on the what the cast members from Battlestar Galactica are up to, one year after the show ended. Wonderful to see that they all seem to be working on some cool projects. I still miss the show, but Caprica and Stargate Universe are helping to fill the void. I’m assuming that most BSG fans have tuned in to Caprica, but it’s possible that Stargate Universe is still undiscovered. I highly recommend checking it out. The second part of Season 1 (or season 1.5) just started on Friday, April 2.

It is actually Breaking Bad, which starts its second season Sunday night. Fantastic show, totally worth checking out.

There was a lot of explaining going on in last Friday’s episode of Battlestar Galactica. I had a very hard time following it all, and in fact, I still haven’t been able to make complete sense of it. This, despite reading various blog posts and media reviews trying to do just that — make sense of it. It was a good episode — no rambling legal arguments by Lee or obnoxious sermonizing by Gaius. Still, I’ve got some sorting out to do. These two articles in particular have helped me put some of the pieces together:

You asked, they answered: ‘Battlestar Galactica’ writers take on your ‘No Exit’ questions.

So the first episode of this last season I thought was intriguing. But I almost couldn’t judge it effectively because I was so excited just to see the show start up again. But I must admit that there was a part of me that thought the season opener wasn’t all that good. The second episode had me very worried. It was just sort of… lacking. But all fears have been nuked. Last Friday’s episode — the third of this final season — was frakking awesome. We’re talking one of the best episodes yet, across all seasons. I don’t want to say anything specific about the episode, because of course some people might not have seen it yet. All I will say is this: BSG is most definitely frakking back.

io9.com’s Favorite BSG Fan Theories.

I’ve actually been counting down since June, when the first half of Season 4 ended. But lo and behold, the second half of Season 4 is upon us, just five days away — this Friday, at 10 pm, Battlestar Galactica continues. These are the final episodes of the show, which is one of the best on televsion, ever. Be sure to also watch the The Face of the Enemy webisodes, and check out this website as well.

Commentator 1: “They’re [the referees] going to discuss whether that was a flagrant foul.”

Commentator 2: “That’s not a flagrant foul. P.J. Brown was trying to eliminate the dunk attempt. That’s good basketball. Good playoff basketball. It’s a foul, but it’s not a flagrant.”

Commentator 1: “With a guy up in the air though, Mark? That’s where a guy gets hurt.”

Commentator 2: “Why don’t you just shake his hand and ask him to shine his shoes for ya? This is playoff basketball. That’s a good play by P.J. Brown.”
