I’ve been to every one since it started in 2005. I have planned vacations around the Vendy Awards, because I do not want to miss it — quite simply it is my favorite annual NYC event. And it’s all for an amazing cause — the Street Vendor Project.

Calexico (Wooster and Prince Streets), run by the Vendley brothers, served up their winning Mexican food and took home the Vendy trophy.
